Providing safe, ethical, and evidence-based medical care for every child.

Dear Parents, Thank you for placing your trust in Dr. Burute Child Care Clinic.
For over 50 years, families have entrusted us with what matters most, the health and well-being of their children. We consider this trust a privilege and a responsibility. Every recommendation we make is guided by one principle: To provide safe, ethical, and evidence-based medical care for every child. Why We Don't Diagnose Over the Phone One of the questions we are most frequently asked is: "Why don't you prescribe medicines or provide treatment advice over the phone or WhatsApp?" The answer is simple. A child deserves more than a conversation. A pediatrician examines hundreds of children every month and thousands over the years. It is neither safe nor ethical to rely on memory or symptoms described over the phone when making medical decisions. Only a proper clinical examination allows us to understand your child's current condition and recommend the safest treatment.
This policy exists for one reason alone: To protect your child.

Why We Sometimes Ask You to Return

If your child's condition changes after a consultation, we may advise you to bring your child back for another examination. This is never because of convenience or consultation fees. It is because children's illnesses can change rapidly, and sometimes the safest decision is to reassess the child before changing treatment. If another qualified doctor or hospital is closer to your home and your child needs urgent medical attention, we encourage you to seek care there without delay. Our only priority is your child's well-being.

Good Medical Decisions Need the Right Environment

Every consultation deserves our complete attention.

Inside the clinic, we have access to:
  • Your child's medical records
  • Examination facilities
  • Clinical equipment
  • A distraction-free environment

This allows us to make careful, evidence-based medical decisions.
Medicine should never be rushed.

Why We Respect Consultation Hours

Doctors are healthcare professionals, but they are also parents, children, spouses, and family members.

Time away from the clinic allows us to:
  • Continue medical learning
  • Spend time with our families
  • Rest and recharge
  • Maintain our own physical and emotional well-being

This balance helps us return each day ready to provide the best possible care for every child. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and respect for our consultation timings.

Our Team Is Here to Help

Our receptionists and nursing staff play an important role in making your visit smooth and comfortable.

However, they are not doctors and cannot:
  • Diagnose illnesses
  • Recommend medicines
  • Modify prescriptions
  • Provide medical advice over the phone

For your child's safety, all medical decisions are made only after a pediatrician's assessment.

Our Promise to Every Family

When you visit Dr. Burute Child Care Clinic, you can always expect:
  • A careful clinical examination
  • Honest and ethical medical advice
  • Evidence-based treatment
  • Compassionate communication
  • Respect for your concerns
  • Decisions made solely in your child's best interests

Thank You

To the thousands of families who have supported our philosophy over the past five decades, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your trust has allowed us to continue practising medicine with integrity, compassion, and responsibility. Our promise is simple. “We will always recommend what is safest for your child, even when it is not the easiest or most convenient option”. Thank you for respecting these professional boundaries. They are not barriers to care. They are safeguards that help ensure every child receives the thoughtful, ethical, and high-quality medical attention they deserve.
